He is the leader of the point-of-care technologies theme at the University of Otago, and has extensive experience on wearables with two spin-out companies in US.

Dr Barwick spent her research career investigating neuro-connectivity in the injured brain. Dr Barwick is a commercialisation manager at Otago Innovation Limited and she specialises in the translation of biotechnology and medical technology out of the University.

A/Prof Chan is a clinical pharmacist by training with over 15 years’ experience working in hospitals. She leads a research group that explores the intersection between digital technology, big data and respiratory health. A/Prof Chan has influenced respiratory policy at a national and international level including input into WHO guidelines and civil society policies.
Engineer and Device Development Lead
Dr Russell is a technology commercialisation strategist and researcher, specialising in computational modelling of human performance. He developed remote physiological status monitoring systems for military, healthcare, and professional sports and is experienced bringing a product to market.
Data Analytics Lead
Dr Khwaounjoo specialises in medical data processing at the University of Auckland. He supports software development for key data metrics with expertise in signal processing and biomarker extraction.
